How to set up a company in IMPZ
The first step to open a company in the International Media Production Zone is to select the suitable type of company. Foreign investors may choose among the following types of structures:
- free zone limited liability companies (FZ-LLC),
- branch offices.
They may also operate as freelancers provided that they obtain a freelance permit.
The most employed type of company in IMPZ free zone is the free zone limited liability company as it provides a certain degree of independency with respect to the shareholding structure. The FZ-LCC may have a corporate person, a natural and a corporate person or a natural person as a shareholder. No matter whom the Dubai company’s shareholder or shareholders are, they are required to submit the following documents:
- copies after their passports,
- a business plan,
- copies after the managers’ passports,
- an application form for the license.
